As widely reported in recent weeks, 29-year-old Malta international Luke Montebello has officially signed a three-year contract with Sliema Wanderers.
Montebello’s most successful spell came with Ħamrun Spartans, where he spent nearly three seasons. During that time, he won two Premier League titles and was named both Top Goalscorer and Player of the Year for the 2023/24 season.

He was released by Ħamrun last March due to reported disciplinary reasons and was free to negotiate with other clubs, a chance Sliema moved quickly to seize.
The Blues are expected to strengthen their squad further, with reports suggesting they have reached agreements with two more players: Croatian midfielder Roko Prša, also formerly of Ħamrun, and Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho, who played for rivals Floriana last season.
