Brazilian midfielder Elionay Freitas has completed a move from Ħamrun Spartans to Seongnam FC, who play in South Korea’s K League 2.
The 28-year-old was officially unveiled as a Seongnam player on Wednesday. Head coach Kyung-jun Jeon expressed hope that Freitas will help strengthen the squad, with the team currently sitting 8th in the table on 21 points after 17 matches, 5 wins, 6 draws, and 6 defeats.
Freitas joined Ħamrun Spartans in the 2023/24 season, playing a key role in a highly successful spell. During his time with the Maltese club, he won two Premier League titles and two Super Cups.
