Hossein Vafaei produced a stunning performance to knock out Judd Trump with a dramatic 13-12 win at the World Snooker Championship in Sheffield.
Trump looked in control at the start of the final session. He led 9-7 overnight and extended his advantage with a break of 77. At that point, he seemed on course for victory.
However, the match soon turned. Vafaei stayed calm and took advantage of a number of missed chances from Trump. He won several key frames to level the match at 10-10 and shift the pressure.
The Iranian then moved ahead with a strong run, building confidence as Trump began to struggle. But the world number one responded well, making breaks of 76 and 64 to edge back in front at 12-11, just one frame away from winning.
With his tournament hopes on the line, Vafaei delivered when it mattered most. He made an excellent break of 106 to force a deciding frame and swing the momentum back in his favour.
In the final frame, both players had chances, but it was Vafaei who kept his composure. A superb break of 91 sealed a famous victory, as the crowd at the Crucible rose to applaud.
Vafaei now moves on to the quarter-finals, where he will face Wu Yize.
Elsewhere, Neil Robertson had a much more comfortable match. He beat Chris Wakelin 13-7 to reach the last eight.

Robertson controlled the match from early on, making a break of 104 and staying steady throughout. He finished the job with a solid performance and will now take on John Higgins in the next round.
It was a day of high drama at the Crucible, with one major upset and one dominant display setting up an exciting quarter-final stage.
