Several Maltese athletes competed at the Paris Major held over the past weekend, registering a number of positive results across the Open, Veterans and Team categories.
In the Open category, Samuel Bartolo advanced to the last sixteen stage, while Derek Conti and George Ebejer reached the barrage round. Mark Gauci and Kurt Polidano were eliminated during the group phase of the competition.
In the Veterans category, Charlie Aquilina progressed to the quarter finals, while Jason Pisani reached the last sixteen.
Maltese representation was also present in the team competition, where both Bormla and Valletta reached the quarter finals. The Bormla team was made up of Charlie Aquilina, George Ebejer, Jason Pisani, Bessim Golger and David Gonzalez. The Valletta team consisted of Samuel Bartolo, Derek Conti, Mark Gauci, Kurt Polidano, Christophe Dheur and Sergio Ramos.
