Maltese players recorded encouraging results during the opening round of the Italian Table Football Championships last weekend, competing across multiple divisions.
In Serie A, SS Lazio, led by captain Patrick Pace and featuring Jamie Bonnici and Joseph Borg Bonaci, secured tenth place in one of the most competitive championships of recent years. The team’s performance highlighted their consistency and ability to compete at a high level against strong opposition.
In Serie B, newly promoted Reggio Calabria, which includes Maltese player Spencer Conti, had an excellent start, finishing in sixth place. Their result positions them strongly in the promotion race and reflects the team’s potential in the division.
Serie C also saw a positive start for Maltese representation, with Palermo, featuring young talent Jayden Bonnici, finishing in fifth place. The team remains in contention for promotion and showed considerable promise in their opening matches.
