In what was anticipated to be the match of the week, the first one from Matchday 10 of the 360 Sports Malta Premier, The Old Firm Derby between Floriana and Sliema Wanderers ended in a goalless draw.
While Sliema had a few more chances, they rarely tested Greens’ goalkeeper, Christoffer Mafoumbi.
The Wanderers had the best chance on the 38th-minute mark when Steve Pisani’s free-kick hit the woodwork.
However the two teams emerged from this match with one point each, just as they will play again halfway through the week, before the break for international matches, where on Thursday, Sliema play against Naxxar while Floriana will face leaders Birkirkara.
