Tarxien Rainbows have completed the signing of 21-year-old Malta U21 international goalkeeper Miguel Spiteri, marking a return to the club ahead of the upcoming 2025/26 360Sports Malta Premier League campaign.
Spiteri, who previously had a short spell with Tarxien during the 2023/24 season, brings with him a wealth of experience despite his young age. With experiences in Spanish youth systems including Leganés U19 and Getafe CF Youth, he later moved to England to join Barnsley U18, before continuing his development with Birkirkara, San Gwann , Luqa SA, Santa Lucia , and most recently Sirens.
Known for his sharp reflexes, vocal presence, and maturity in goal, Spiteri has established himself as one of the most promising young goalkeepers in Maltese football. His journey has seen him adapt to different playing styles and competitive environments, including a notable stint with Cartagena U19 in Spain.

Speaking about his return to Tarxien, Spiteri expressed enthusiasm for the challenges ahead:
“I am very happy to be back with Tarxien Rainbows and looking forward to the challenge we have ahead in the Premier League. With the support of our fans and strong unity between the players and staff, I’m confident we’ll give everything to make this a season the club and its supporters truly deserve.”
Spiteri joins the squad on a free transfer, and his arrival is expected to add quality, depth, and leadership to Tarxien’s goalkeeping department as they prepare for life in the Premier League.
