Alaves 2-3 Valladolid
In a thrilling encounter, Valladolid secured a vital 3-2 victory against Alaves on Friday night, marking their second win of the La Liga season with a dramatic late comeback that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
The match, part of La Liga’s intense schedule, featured penalties awarded to both teams. Valladolid now finds itself in 18th place in the 20-team league table, with eight points from 10 matches, while Alaves sits just above them in 14th, accumulating 10 points from the same number of games.
The home side came out with energy from the start, eager to make an impression in their first match after the international break. They struck first just five minutes in, as defender Mario Martin’s poor clearance was seized by Toni Martínez, who surged forward and fired a low shot from 30 yards that took a bounce and nestled into the bottom corner.
Valladolid responded strongly, with Mamadou Sylla leveling the score in the 16th minute by converting a penalty against his former club. The momentum shifted further in the second half as Valladolid gained confidence, clinching their victory with two quick goals within four minutes.

Selim Amallah calmly converted a penalty in the 72nd minute, followed shortly by a brilliant counterattack where Sylla linked up with Anuar. Sylla’s clever assist from the left set up Anuar, who skillfully finished with his right foot, putting Valladolid in control.
Alaves’ hopes were briefly revived when substitute Kike García scored in the dying moments of six minutes of stoppage time. However, his celebration was cut short as he received a red card for dissent just moments after finding the net.
