After six years, the Lakers no longer pay him

The Los Angeles Lakers are no longer paying the former seventh draft pick Luol Deng.

He received his last salary on April 11, along with LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Anthony Davis.

He was the fifth highest-paid player on the team this season, all because of one bad decision made by the Lakers in 2016.

Deng then signed a four-year contract for 72 million dollars.

He played 57 games in his first season and the team fired him.

Since no one wanted to take over his huge contract during a possible trade, they decided in September 2018 to dismiss him by paying him the entire contract through installments in the coming years.

He averaged 7.6 points in the Lakers.

He ended his career with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2019.
