Bank of Valletta has announced the winners of the BOV Basketball Players of the Month Awards for February 2026, recognising three standout athletes for their excellent performances across Malta’s top basketball divisions.
The awards were presented by Bank of Valletta Chief Operations Officer Ernest Agius during a brief ceremony held at the Ta’ Qali Basketball Pavilion.

In the BOV 1st Division, Starlites guard Jackson ThreadGill was named Player of the Month after a series of influential displays throughout February. ThreadGill averaged 24.67 points per game, scoring 66 points across three matches, while continuing to lead his side’s attacking play with authority. His aggressive approach caused constant problems for opponents, who committed an average of six fouls per game against him. He also showed composure from the free-throw line, converting 20 of his 30 attempts, while averaging more than 33 minutes per match on court.

In the women’s division, Olivia Wikstrom of Luxol claimed the monthly honour for the third time this season.
