Bank of Valletta, together with the Malta Basketball Association, has announced the BOV Basketball Players of the Month for March 2026, recognising three standout performers across the men’s, women’s and amateur leagues.
In the BOV First Division, Depiro’s Trevon Reddish was named Men’s Player of the Month after a strong run of performances. He scored 28 points in a win over Valletta, added 25 points, 17 rebounds and a high shooting rate against Hibernians, and followed up with 22 points in a victory over Luxol. His consistent scoring and all-round play made him a key player throughout the month.
In the Women’s Division, Depiro’s Lovely Sonnier was named Player of the Month after a series of impressive displays. She scored 25 points against Valletta and again against Luxol, where she also made four steals. She continued her form with 23 points and 11 rebounds against Hibernians, before finishing the month with 24 points against Starlites. Her strong all-round performances stood out across all matches.
In the Amateur League, Luxol’s Stefano Marra won the award after an excellent month. He scored 78 points in 101 minutes, including nine three-pointers, and shot efficiently from the field. He also contributed 27 steals and 78 rebounds, showing his impact on both offence and defence.
The awards were presented by Bank of Valletta Chief Operations Officer Ernest Agius.
