Mark Herrera and Josanne Attard Pulis win the 2025 Hudson Race Series

The Hudson Race Series, powered by Nike, came to a close on 8th December with the Valletta Edition, a course well known for its steep climbs and often challenging weather conditions. This year, however, runners were treated to ideal conditions, with sunshine welcoming them at both the start and finish.

In the10km race, Mark Herrera took an early lead and maintained a steady pace throughout to secure first place. He was followed closely by Jeremy Curmi, who finished second just one second ahead of Brahim El Khattabi in third. Herrera remained consistent through the most demanding sections of the course, particularly on the climbs, keeping his challengers at bay.

Josanne Attard Pulis delivered another strong performance to take victory in the women’s 10km race, ahead of Jolene Debattista in second and Brigitte Calascione in third.

The 5km race saw Brandon Saliba secure the win, followed by Emanuel Zammit and Conway Cachia, who completed the podium with closely matched finishes. In the women’s category, Rosalie Borg Cauchi claimed first place with a 19-second advantage over Cypriot runner Chrystalla Hadjipolydorou, while Charyl Fava finished third.

Speaking at the conclusion of the series, Race Founder and Director Charlie Demanuele said he was pleased with the success of the 10th anniversary season and thanked the athletes for their continued support. He noted that the combination of scenic routes and demanding courses continues to attract runners of all levels.
