At the end of the past week, the International Open in Naples took place, where a Maltese player reached the podium.
Joseph Mifsud had an exceptional tournament with his team, Fiamme Azzure. The Champions of Italy managed to reach the final of the competition with a convincing victory over Salernitana in the semi-finals, but unfortunately lost in the final against the Napoli Fighters.
In the individual category, Josef Camilleri and George Ebejer also made it to the final 32, while Joseph Mifsud was eliminated in the group stage. The journey of the Maltese athletes would not have been possible without the support of SportMalta and the Maltese Olympic Committee.
