At the Bormla Grand Prix held last weekend, several Maltese athletes produced strong performances in a top-level tournament.
In the Veterans category, Massimo Cremona won the title after beating Jason Pisani 1–0 in the final. Charlie Aquilina and John Zammit both reached the semi-finals.
In the Open category, Samuel Bartolo and Mark Gauci reached the quarter-finals, while Jurgen Balzan made it to the play-off stage.
In the Under-20 category, Robert Farrugia Randon won the final against Jayden Bonnici after a 2–2 draw in normal time, with the match decided by a shootout.
In the team event, Valletta SC beat Bormla 2–1 in the final. Both teams had finished first and second respectively in the group stage before meeting again in the final.
