Meridianbet FA Trophy Final to feature €3,000 Charity Donation Initiative

The Meridianbet FA Trophy Final 2025/26 is set to deliver more than just silverware this season, as a €3,000 charitable donation will form part of the occasion.

Taking place at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium, the final will see Gżira United and Valletta go head-to-head for one of Maltese football’s most prestigious honours, in what promises to be a standout fixture in the local sporting calendar.

Alongside the action on the pitch, Meridianbet has confirmed that a €3,000 donation will be made on behalf of the winning team to a charity of their choice, under the initiative “Football for a Good Cause.”

The initiative continues Meridianbet’s growing focus on corporate social responsibility within Maltese sport. Last year’s FA Trophy campaign saw the company support Inspire Malta through a direct contribution, forming part of a broader effort to connect football with meaningful community impact.

This year’s approach builds on that foundation, allowing the winning club to extend the impact of their success beyond the pitch by supporting a cause that resonates with their community.

Byron Falzon, Operations Manager at Meridianbet, commented:
“The FA Trophy Final is a celebration of Maltese football at its highest level. Through this initiative, we wanted to add an extra layer of meaning to the occasion as we did last year, ensuring that the impact of the final reaches beyond the game itself and into the wider community.”

While the spotlight will remain firmly on the battle for the trophy, the initiative ensures that the occasion leaves a lasting contribution, reinforcing the connection between sport and social good.

The Meridianbet FA Trophy Final is scheduled to take place in May at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium.
