Luxol Argus and Zero Sei take first-leg leads in Women’s Futsal semi-finals

Luxol Sports Club Futsal Argus and Zero Sei both made strong starts in the Enemed Women’s Futsal League semi-finals, winning their first-leg matches and moving closer to the final.

Luxol Argus beat St George’s 3-1 in a tight match. Jasmine Vella Turner opened the scoring, but Shania Spiteri equalised for St George’s. Vella Turner then scored again to restore Luxol’s lead, before Ruth Steer Cheetham added a third goal to seal the win. The second leg will take place on Wednesday, 15 April.

In the other semi-final, Zero Sei defeated Swieqi United 6-3 in an attacking game. Vanessa Carneiro scored a hat-trick, while Rocio Robles added two goals. Nicole Espinosa also scored for Zero Sei.

Swieqi United replied with two goals from Juciela Vale and one from Carolina Mendosa, but it was not enough to change the result. The second leg will be played on Tuesday, 14 April.
