In MD29 of the YoHealth Malta Premier, on Wednesday, reigning champions Ħamrun Spartans will face Gżira United at the National Stadium at 6pm in a Top 6 clash.
Ħamrun will be looking to bounce back after losing their last two league matches against Mosta and Marsaxlokk. They are now level on points with Marsaxlokk and only two points ahead of Valletta, so they will be aiming for a win to strengthen their hold on second place.
With Floriana currently favourites to win the Closing Round, Ħamrun will be hoping to stay second so that the title race remains a direct contest rather than going to a final four system.
Coach Giacomo Modica will be without Emerson Marcelina, who is suspended after being sent off against Marsaxlokk.

Gżira United are also coming into the game after a 2-1 defeat to Valletta in Gozo. They are bottom of the Top 6 with 17 points and have little pressure in the league now, as their focus is on the Meridianbet FA Trophy final against Valletta after the season ends.
