The winners of the 2025 AIPS Sport Media Awards were announced at a special ceremony held at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, on 10 April 2026.
The event, organised by the International Sports Press Association (AIPS), attracted 1,987 entries from 130 countries. After several rounds of judging, finalists were narrowed down to podium winners across different categories in journalism.
AIPS President Gianni Merlo praised the high standard of work, saying that quality sports journalism continues to inspire future generations. IOC President Kirsty Coventry also highlighted the important role of journalists in sharing sport with the world.

Henrique Arcoverde (Brazil) won for Galeguinho – The Backwards Runner.
Video – Athlete Profile:
Guillaume Priou and Laurie Delhostal (France) won for Laure! Laure! Laure!.
Video – Documentary:
Fabien Douillard (France) won with Crash – Peloton Under Pressure.
Photography – Sport Action:
Ray Giubilo (Italy) won with an image titled It’s not Halloween.
Audio:
Farzad Sabouri and Seyedeh Nahid Saadati (Iran) won with The Snowy Galaxy.
Photography – Portfolio:
Loïc Venance (France) won for Tour de France 2025.
Young Reporters Awards:
- Broadcasting: Charlie Courrent (France)
- Photography: Eric Wu (Australia)
- Writing: Salma Niazi (Afghanistan)
Each winner will receive support and recognition at major sporting events.
Investigative Awards:
Four journalists from different continents were honoured for important investigative work covering issues in sport.

Special awards and mentions:
Several journalists were also recognised for work on topics such as human rights, climate change, mental health, inclusion, doping, and sports history.
