Ħamrun Spartans secured their second win in a row after narrowly defeating Żabbar St. Patrick 1-0, thanks to a first-half goal from Rafael Compri.
Despite being the better side overall, Ħamrun once again failed to impress with their performance, but ultimately got the three points they needed.
The decisive moment came in the 22nd minute when Compri combined well with Joseph Mbong before calmly slotting past goalkeeper Camilleri.
The second half offered little in terms of goalmouth action, with chances at a premium for both teams. Ħamrun pushed for a second goal to seal the result, but their efforts were in vain as the match ended 1-0.
