Malta hosts thrilling ITF U18 Junior Tennis Tournament

From 4 to 11 April 2026, Malta hosted the POWERADE ITF U18 Junior World Ranking Tennis Tournament, bringing together some of the best young tennis players from around the world.

This year’s event marked an important milestone, as POWERADE joined for the first time as the main sponsor. Their support helped further develop international junior tennis and raised the standard of the tournament. The event was officially sanctioned by the Malta Tennis & Padel Federation and supported financially by Sport Malta.

Throughout the week, players from countries such as Ukraine, Italy, the UK, Turkey, Poland, Germany, Serbia, Romania, Norway, Greece, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Australia competed at a very high level, delivering exciting and competitive matches.

Malta was proudly represented by its top young athletes, including Emma Montebello, Sophia Arpa, Lily Schranz, Marya Magro, Chloe Kuijt, Ema Jade Vella, Julia Perea Vega, Evan Galea, Kelian Lauwers, Jan Parascandalo, Andy Gingell Littlejohn and Luke Fiorini Lowell. They performed strongly and showed excellent sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

Fans enjoyed a full week of high-quality tennis, with rising stars from the international circuit competing alongside Malta’s best juniors. The atmosphere was lively and full of energy, with many exciting matches across all categories.

In the finals, Italy dominated the doubles events, with Elia Euffino and Martino Guy Scotuzzi winning the Boys Doubles, and Ludovica Casalino and Camilla Iannece taking the Girls Doubles title.

In the singles events, Romania’s David Stefan Burac claimed the Boys Singles title, while Italy’s Viola Severi won the Girls Singles, both delivering outstanding performances.
