The YoHealthMalta Premier action returns after the Jubilee Cup break, with a Bottom 6 clash as Gżira host Naxxar Lions at 8:30pm at the Victor Tedesco Stadium.
Since changing their coach, the Maroons have been in excellent form, winning four and drawing one of their last five games. In their most recent league match, they beat Mosta 1-0 thanks to a solo goal from former Floriana player Jork Becerra.
Naxxar Lions have had a much tougher run, going five games without a win. Their last victory came back in September, when they surprisingly beat Sliema Wanderers 4-0. While anything can happen in football, it seems likely that Naxxar will be among the teams battling to stay in the top flight this season.
The teams met last month, with Gżira claiming a 2-1 win despite finishing the match with just nine men.
