Gżira United have bolstered their squad ahead of the upcoming season with the signing of Polish goalkeeper Aleksander Lubik. The 25-year-old has agreed to a one-year contract with the Maltese Premier League side.
Lubik arrives at Gżira following an impressive campaign with Melita, where his performances between the posts caught the attention of several top-flight clubs. Known for his shot-stopping abilities and commanding presence in the box, Lubik is expected to provide strong competition for the starting goalkeeper position.
The Polish shot-stopper began his senior career at ROW Rybnik in Poland and went on to feature for Kuźnia Ustroń and LKS Goczałkowice-Zdrój. He also spent time in the Czech Republic with MFK Karviná, gaining valuable experience abroad before making the move to Malta.
Gżira United continue to strengthen their squad with targeted signings with Lubik’s being another player who last season played for Melita after the arrvial of Spanish defender Marc Van de Bovenkamp, Andre Carlos Penha Da Costa and Santiago Martinez.

Lubik will be joining his new teammates in pre-season training as Gżira step up preparations for the 2025 campaign.
