Shaisen Attard, Ħamrun Spartans’ promising young player, has received a call-up to join Malta’s senior national team.
The 20-year-old has been selected to join the squad for the upcoming friendly match against Liechtenstein on Thursday and the crucial UEFA Nations League (UNL) game against Andorra on Tuesday, 19th November, both to be held at the National Stadium.
Attard has been promoted from the Malta U21 team to replace Dylan Scicluna, who unfortunately suffered an injury during his last game for Western Sydney Wanderers FC against Newcastle Jets, which has led to his withdrawal from the squad.
