The Spanish Basketball Federation announced that it has proposed to FIBA that one of the qualifying tournaments for the Olympic Games in Paris be held in Valencia.
Recently, this was also done by the Greek basketball regulatory body, which wants one traveler to Paris to be decided in Athens.
In November, FIBA will announce which countries will host the four tournaments that will determine the remaining participating national teams. Six selections will participate in each of them, of which only the winner will win a ticket to the Olympic Games.
Spain’s basketball players ended their participation in the recently concluded Mundobasket in the quarterfinals when the Canadian national team was better than them with a score of 88:85.
The qualification tournament will be held from June 2 to 7, 2024, and the Olympic Games will begin on June 26.
Tickets for Paris have already been provided by Serbia, host France, the United States, Canada, Australia, South Sudan, Japan and Germany.
