Olympiakos basketball player Shaquielle McKissic pointed out that his team is the best in Europe.
McKissic will not have the help of the playmakers from last season. Sloukas joined Panathinaikos, while Euroleague MVP Sasha Vezenkov left for the NBA, where he will play for the Sacramento Kings.
“With due respect to all teams, I think we are still the best in Europe. We’ll see if we stay that way.” McKissic said.
Two very important players left the “Peace and Friendship” hall, but several arrivals followed. Among them is Serbian center Nikola Milutinov, who returned to Piraeus after three years.
“I see the same things in the dressing room. Of course, Vezenkov will be missed, it is impossible to replace him, but we are trying to make up for it in other ways. Defensively, we are designed in such a way that I don’t believe anyone is ready for that. When I look at the dressing room, I see players like Milutinov and Fall, I don’t know about the plans of other teams, but they will have to have a good strategy.” Shaquielle said.
Olympiakos will play the semi-final of the Greek Super Cup against Peristeri on Friday at 4 p.m., and PAOK and Panathinaikos will meet in the second match.
