Slovenians accused by regional media of consuming alcohol during Eurobasket.
After the bombastic information that the Slovenian basketball players had been partying until five in the morning before the quarter-finals of the Eurobasket against Poland, the local Federation announced.
The Slovenians reacted with a statement to the text that appeared on the “bhbasket.ba” portal.
“We in the Basketball Association of Slovenia do not deal with such untrue and malicious accusations and do not even comment on them,” the announcement states.
Slovenia was eliminated by Poland in the quarter-finals of the European Championship, so it was left without the championship crown and the chance to fight for one of the medals.
