To finish at the end is incredible, but I think if we had played at least one more game, I believe everyone would have fallen apart. It was so difficult, so we played over 90 games in the season,’ said Sasha Obradovic.
“There was pressure, to play well, to win. It’s never easy, especially when there are so many games involved. This is also where success is measured or the pressure on all of us who are here, the way the game was won is looked at, while a defeat is a disaster,’ he added.
The end of the season also meant that the journalists will once again start speculating about the departure of the Serbian coach, despite all the successes. However, he believes that there is no reason to worry and that he has done what was up to him.
“First and foremost, I cannot be calmer in all these speculations about whether I will be a coach or not. I can say that our mission was successful because we achieved more than expected and exceeded the goals set before the start of the season. That’s why I am extremely calm in relation to what follows,’ commented the coach of Monaco, Sasha Obradovic.
There has been no conversation with the president yet, but Obradovic says that he was assured that there will be no changes on the bench.
“To be honest, I haven’t talked to the president yet, although there are assurances that there will be no changes.” I would like to hear it from the main man as well, whether it was all right or not, whether it is believed or not, that is the basis of everything. It doesn’t matter whether you have a contract or not, but whether someone believes in your work.’
“And that should be discussed and any decision accepted. That’s why I’m calm because I did a good job. We put ourselves on the world basketball map, both Monaco and myself, that’s why I can expect good things to continue to happen to me,’ concluded Obradovic.
