The jersey of the legendary Wilt Chamberlain from his season was sold at auction for 1.792 million dollars.
Chamberlain finished the 1959/60 season as the MVP and Rookie of the Year, which in history was the only thing Wes Unseld did.
As stated, Chamberlain wore the shirt of the Philadelphia Warriors in one game at home, in some matches on neutral ground, but also in five playoff games.
A year before the NBA, Wilt Chamberlain played for the Harlem Globetrotters, and subsequently played for the University of Kansas, before being drafted by Philadelphia.
In his NBA career, he reached 31,419 points, and he held the record for 38 years, until it was broken by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and this season LeBron James is at the head of that list.
Wilt died in 1999, and in his career, he won two NBA rings, four MVP titles and was in the league’s ideal lineup seven times.
