Houston Rockets basketball player, twenty-three-year-old Kevin Porter Jr., pleaded not guilty to allegedly beating a girl in a hotel room.
After his arrest and interrogation, Porter was released on $75,000 bail.
The American media reveal new details of the alleged physical attack by Kevin on his girlfriend Kysre Gondrezick, who, upon arrival at the hospital, was diagnosed with a fractured cervical vertebra.
In addition, she had welts on her face, and it was noted that she also had scratches on her head.
She explained to the police that Porter had squeezed his face hard with his fist and that this had led to the described injuries. She also pointed out that the basketball player grabbed her by the neck, which caused her to run out of breath at times.
Based on her statement, the prosecution stated that the basketball player did not stop harassing her until she escaped from the room and appeared in the hall with a bloody face.
The prosecutor’s office in Manhattan confirmed that the Houston player has a history of similar attacks on the same girl, including an incident in which he crashed his car into hers.
Gondrezick was selected as the fourth pick in the WNBA draft in 2021, played one season for Indiana, and is currently a free agent.
