Red Star Meridianbet announced that Nemanja Bjelica is the club’s new player.
Bjelica is a former basketball player of Red Star, a member of the Serbian national team, MVP of the Euroleague and winner of the NBA league.
Immediately after the tests and examination, Nemanja joined the team’s training in Belgrade.
Bjelica was in Fenerbahce last season, but due to injuries, he was not on the court much.
In his first “mandate” with Fener, he won the Euroleague and was MVP of the competition.
Nemanja Bjelica took his first serious basketball steps in Red Star, for which he played in the period from 2008-2010.
He played for Baskonia, Fenerbahce, Minnesota, Sacramento, Miami, Golden State and Fenerbahce again.
He was the NBA champion in 2022 with Golden State. He was the MVP of the Euroleague in 2015.
“With his return to the jersey with the Red Star crest, Nemanja brings enormous quality and experience, but also the knowledge of what it means to play in front of full stands and great expectations in our club’s jersey,” the club’s announcement reads.
