Mathias Lessort is ready for Mundobasket. Although he had problems with injury, the Frenchman will be available for his selection.
Due to problems with a wrist injury, Lessort missed almost the entire preparation of France, but he will still be ready for Mundobasket.
“It was stressful because I didn’t know what was going to happen until the last second. We got the green light from the club and the doctor and I can’t wait to play with my teammates. I believed that I would succeed, that’s why I worked until the very end, but it was stressful. I hoped I wasn’t doing everything for nothing.” Lessort said.
Although he missed all the preparations, he was among the 12 players who will play at the World Cup.
“Everyone knew what was wrong with my left wrist. Almost all the preparations were lost because of it, but I’m here again and I’m standing on my feet. I trained all week and played matches in training. I didn’t feel any pain, which is a positive thing.” he concluded.
France is in Group H, where its rivals are Canada, Latvia and Lebanon.
