Nikola Jokic dominated last night against Minnesota and constantly brought Denver back into the game, but in the end, it turned out to be tragic.
The Serbian center with 43 points and 11 rebounds, along with 6 assists, carried Denver throughout the match, hitting key shots for the Nuggets’ return to the game after -12 in the middle of the last quarter.
However, in the end, his one missed free throw cost Denver the victory in the regular part of the match, and the Wolves would “break” the guests in overtime and extend the series.
Jokic was involved in all 12 of Denver’s points in a 12-0 run in the final two and a half minutes that his team won in overtime. He scored a three-pointer, shot from half-distance and recorded two assists for Porter’s three-pointers.
However, with 12 seconds left at 96:95 for Minnesota, he hit only one of two free throws and thus cost his team the victory.
“We had a chance to end the series, but they fought, played desperately and celebrated in the end, that’s how it is,” Nikola said.
The fifth game will be played on Wednesday morning at 3:00 a.m. in the “Ball Arena”.
