Jokic is cautious: ''We respect them, but we didn't want to give them a new life''

Serbian center Nikola Jokic commented on his team’s victory.

Denver basketball players defeated Minnesota in the third match of the NBA playoffs and came one step away from reaching the semifinals of the Western Conference.

The Nuggets’ best player recorded a new triple-double performance with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists.

“We needed to win. We didn’t want to give them a new life if that makes sense. We wanted to be the aggressive ones, to strike first and for them to react to us. That was our plan”.

The Serbian representative is cautious even though his team has a huge advantage.“To be honest, we respect them a lot because we know they are a dangerous team. We didn’t want to let them play freely. “We have to have the same approach as today.” They will be aggressive and we have to be even more aggressive to control the game. We know what we have to do, we are not under pressure,” Jokic stressed.
