Casalini died at the age of 70

Franco Casalini, the former Italian coach, died at the age of 70, and this news was announced by his former club, Olimpia Milano.

During his career, Casalini spent 18 years in the Milan team, and from 1977 to 1987 he was an assistant coach at the club.

In the 1987/88 season. in 2010, he managed to defend the title in the Euroleague with the Milan team, after they defeated Maccabi from Tel Aviv in the final with 90:84.

In addition, he won the Intercontinental Cup in 1988.

In addition to working in Milan, he led the Libertas Forli and Virtus Roma teams, and in 1998 he returned to Milan and played in the final of the Saporta Cup.

He finished his career in Switzerland’s SAV Vacallo with whom he won the Cup there in 1999 and 2000.
