After the third game of the NBA Finals series, Miami Heat basketball player Jimmy Butler takes the blame for the loss against Denver in Florida and points out that he needs to improve primarily when it comes to defensive play.
Denver won 109:94, and Butler finished the game with 28 points, two rebounds and four assists.
The leader of the Miami Heat is not satisfied with his game and the team’s effort in this match.
“I don’t know why we lacked energy. I can’t answer that. Maybe we thought we had already achieved something. That simply must not happen. It won’t happen again. It all starts with me. I have to be more concentrated on defense. I have to chase ‘nobody’s’ balls. I think everyone will follow me if I start doing that,” Jimmy Butler said after the game.
Denver returned the break, but Miami’s best player points out that the team from Florida cannot repeat another bad game like this.
“We can correct everything, but we have to come out in the fourth game with more energy and effort. It depends on our collective, not on tactics. No tactic can replace that. We have to throw ourselves around the floor, chase rebounds, take defensive rebounds, and only then we might have a different outcome,” Jimmy Butler said.
The next duel is scheduled for the night between Friday and Saturday at 2:30 CET, also in Florida.
