The Maltese National Artistic Swimming Team is on its way to Singapore to compete in the World Aquatics Championships, marking another important step in Malta’s growing presence in international sport.
Ana Culic and Thea Grima Buttigieg will represent Malta in the Women’s Duet Free and Duet Technical routines, while Zea Montfort will compete in both the Women’s Solo Free and Solo Technical events.
The team departed on Saturday.
This event will be Zea’s debut at the World Championships, and it will be the first time Ana and Thea compete as a duet at this level. Their participation comes after a strong showing at the Games of the Small States of Europe in Andorra, where they won multiple medals for Malta.

The World Aquatics Championships – Singapore 2025 is the final event of the season, wrapping up a successful year full of growth, experience, and international competition.
The athletes are supported by National Team Head Coach Michelle Hubner and Assistant Coach Hannah Preca Trapani, who will also serve as Team Leader for the competition.
