European Aquatics has taken a significant step in its relocation process after President Antonio Silva signed a framework agreement to move the organisation headquarters to Serbia. The agreement was formalised during a ceremony held in Belgrade with Serbia Minister of Sports and State Secretary Marko Kešelj.
President Silva was accompanied by European Aquatics Vice President Vania Udovičić for the signing, which follows the decision approved at the European Aquatics Congress held in Tbilisi in 2025. The agreement outlines the intention of both parties to facilitate the relocation of the governing body administrative base to Serbia.

The next phase of the process will require the approval of the Lex EA law by the Serbian Parliament. This legislation will establish the legal framework necessary for the relocation to proceed. European Aquatics will also convene an extraordinary Congress to vote on the required constitutional amendments linked to the move.
The relocation of the European Aquatics headquarters is expected to strengthen cooperation between the organisation and Serbian authorities while ensuring continuity in governance and operations for aquatic sports across Europe.
