Senegal came from behind to beat Sudan 3-1 and book their place in the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals, with Pape Gueye scoring twice.
Sudan shocked Senegal early in the match by taking the lead in the sixth minute through Abdallah after good work from Walid Khidir. Senegal responded well and began to control the game. Their pressure paid off in the 29th minute when Pape Gueye equalised after being set up by Sadio Mané.
Just before half-time, Senegal turned the match around. Gueye scored his second goal in stoppage time, finishing from close range after a pass from Nicolas Jackson to give the Lions of Teranga a 2-1 lead at the break.
Senegal continued to dominate in the second half and made the result safe in the 77th minute. Iliman Ndiaye Mbaye added the third goal after another assist from Mané.
Sudan tried to respond but struggled to create clear chances, while Senegal remained solid at the back. The win sends Senegal into the quarter-finals, where they will continue their hunt for another AFCON title.
