Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Lecce, ending their four-match winning run. Jonathan David missed a penalty, his first at club level since January 2025, as the hosts failed to take full advantage of their chances.
Juventus started the match strongly and dominated the early stages. Lecce goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone was kept busy and made several important saves, denying Andrea Cambiaso twice and pushing Jonathan David’s header onto the post.
Kenan Yıldız was Juventus’ most dangerous player, but the home side wasted many opportunities. Just before half-time, Lecce shocked the Allianz Stadium by taking the lead. A poor pass from Cambiaso allowed Lameck Banda to win the ball, get past Bremer and score at the near post.
Juventus responded quickly after the break. Four minutes into the second half, Yıldız set up Weston McKennie, who scored from close range to make it 1-1. Juventus continued to press and were given a chance to go ahead when David won a penalty after the ball hit Mohamed Kaba’s hand. However, Falcone saved the weak spot-kick.
Lecce defended bravely in the closing stages and held firm despite late efforts from Filip Kostić and David, both of which were stopped by Falcone. It was Juventus’ first home draw in the league since early November.
The result gives Lecce their first away point this season against a team from the top half, while Juventus will be disappointed after failing to make the most of their dominance.
