Arsenal boosted their Premier League title hopes with a 3-2 win away at Bournemouth, marking their fifth league victory in a row. Declan Rice scored twice to lead the Gunners to victory.
Bournemouth shocked Arsenal early on when Gabriel Magalhães made a poor pass near his own area, which was intercepted by Evanilson, who scored into an empty net. Arsenal quickly responded as Gabriel Magalhães redeemed himself by scoring after Gabriel Martinelli’s initial shot was blocked.
Despite equalising, Arsenal struggled to create chances in the first half, while Bournemouth had several opportunities, including a long-range free-kick from Justin Kluivert and efforts from Evanilson and Marcus Tavernier.
Arsenal came out stronger after the break. Less than ten minutes into the second half, Martin Ødegaard set up Rice, who scored from the edge of the box to give the Gunners the lead. Later, a triple substitution paid off when Bukayo Saka cut the ball back for Rice to score his second and make it 3-1. Bournemouth pulled one back through Eli Junior Kroupi near the end, but Arsenal held on to secure the win.
The victory moves Arsenal six points clear at the top of the table provisionally, while Bournemouth remain winless in their last 11 matches.
