The Aquatic Sports Association of Malta (ASA) will host the LEN Champions League Final Four for the second consecutive year at the National Pool in Tal-Qroqq, from today till June 1. This prestigious event, supported by SportMalta and VisitMalta, will bring some of the best water polo teams in Europe to Malta, attracting a large international audience.
The semi-finals of the Water Polo Champions League will feature four renowned European clubs competing against each other. All these teams have a strong history in their respective European and national competitions, making this year’s edition one of the most competitive ever held in Malta.
The participating teams are VK Novi Beograd from Serbia, CN Atlètic-Barceloneta from Spain, Ferencváros TC from Hungary, and CN Marseille from France.
VK Novi Beograd holds a strong reputation as one of the best teams in the Balkans, with recent successes in both local championships and European competitions. They are known for their intense style of play.
CN Atlètic-Barceloneta is one of Spain’s most successful clubs with extensive European experience, noted for their tactical discipline and consistent playing style.
Ferencváros TC are the defending champions, having won the last edition of the Champions League held in Malta. They are known for their physicality, speed, and creativity in the pool.
CN Marseille is the most decorated French team, boasting a rich history of success. They have several international players and are known for dynamic play and excellent coordination.
The LEN Champions League Final Four will take place at the National Pool in Tal-Qroqq, with the semi-final matches scheduled for today and the final on Sunday, June 1, 2025. Tickets for the event are available at showshappening.com.
Beyond the matches, the event will feature live music and entertainment, food stalls, presentations, the playing of the Maltese national anthem, performances by Tikka Banda, and a spectacular fireworks display — all designed to provide an exceptional and memorable experience for the audience at the National Pool in Tal-Qroqq.
