The University of Malta and Luxol St. Andrew’s have booked their places in the final of the Laferla Futsal Trophy after winning their respective semi-final matches.
The University of Malta cruised past Marsaskala Futsal Legends with a dominant 8–0 victory. The University players established a four-goal lead by the end of the first half and maintained their aggressive approach in the second to comfortably secure qualification.
Steven Camilleri and Cristian Jose Fernandez each scored a hat-trick, while Cleavon Portelli and Stefan Vella added to the tally for their team.
The referees for the match were Andrea Naudi and Clinton Cassar.
Luxol St. Andrew’s also advanced with ease, defeating Ta’ Xbiex Futsal 6–2. Star player Jhon Anderson Castro Pulido stood out for the local futsal champions, scoring a hat-trick to lead his side to victory. Marwan Telisi, Michael Borg and Emil Raducu also contributed to their win after netting a goal apiece.
Referees for this match were Clinton Cassar and Andrea Naudi.
The Laferla Futsal Trophy final will take place tomorrow, Saturday, at 4:30 PM at the National School of Sport Pavilion in Pembroke.
