The 65th edition of the Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali has been announced by the Malta Sports Journalists, revealing the ten semi-finalists for each category. Among the talented young athletes, Ayrton Jon Tonna, an up-and-coming motorsport star, has been recognised and selected as a finalist in the Young Athlete of the Year category.
The acknowledgment highlights Tonna’s accomplishments and growing importance in the world of motorsport. Renowned for his international achievements, Ayrton is solidifying his position as a formidable competitor, serving as a source of inspiration for young athletes in Malta. In the following stage of the selection procedure, GHGS members and a group of specialist jurors will cast their votes to reduce the list to five finalists. The declaration of these finalists is scheduled to occur on Monday, 17th February, during a live broadcast on TVMSport+ at 7:00 PM.

The results for each section will be announced at the Grand Awards Ceremony, set to take place on Saturday, 1st March. This esteemed occasion will honour the accomplishments of Maltese sportspeople, both as individuals and as part of a team.
