Lija Athletic and Zero Sei have secured their spots in the Enemed Women’s KO final after winning their semi-final matches.
Lija Athletic triumphed 8-4 in a thrilling encounter against Santa Margherita. Despite a strong start with a 4-0 lead, Santa Margherita fought back to equalize. However, Lija’s determination, under the guidance of coach Jackie Abdilla, saw them net four more goals for the victory. Hailey Russell, Leanne Micallef, and Tove Ronneback each scored a brace, with Izabella Camilleri and Ruth Steer Cheetham also contributing goals. Santa Margherita’s Estefany Calamanarez and Rowen Zahra each scored twice to keep their team in the game. The match was officiated by Clint Cassar and Stefania Bonnici.

In the other semi-final, Zero Sei defeated Mtarfa Women Futsal 4-0. Andrea Alonso was the standout scorer with two goals, while Rebecca Zammit and Elisa Csik also found the net. Danilo Francalanza and Marco La Rosa were the referees.
The final between Zero Sei and Lija Athletic will take place on Wednesday, 5 February, at 9.30pm at the Pavilion of the Mediterranean College of Sport in Birkirkara.
