Għaxaq Boċċi Club Under 18 Team and triathlete Ryan Muscat are the October winners of the Atlas Youth Athletes of the Month Award
Għaxaq Boċċi Club enjoyed a superb October adding youth success to their senior First Division championship. Their Under 18 team defeated Żebbuġ Boċċi Club 21 to 12, in their final match earning the Atlas Youth Athletes of the Month Award for Local achievement in October.
For the Foreign category in October, triathlete Ryan Muscat is recognised after finishing sixth in his age category out of seventy seven at a triathlon in New South Wales, Australia, during the month of October. This result reflects sustained dedication to training and competition on the international stage.
The Atlas Youth Athlete of the Month Award was presented by Chief Commercial Executive of Atlas Insurance Robert Micallef. The Malta Sports Journalists Association was represented by President Antvin Monseigneur and by Christopher Francalanza the current designate administrator of the Malta SJA.
This award is a joint initiative of the Malta Sports Journalists Association and Atlas Insurance. The adjudicating panel takes note of all youth achievements in the month under review and invites local sport associations and federations to submit nominations where they believe any under twenty-one athletes have distinguished themselves. All monthly winners become eligible for the annual award.
