Malta will be represented by six teams at the 2026 European Championships in Ayia Napa, taking place from 21 to 27 February.
A group of 49 people, including athletes, officials and supporters, will leave Malta tomorrow to compete in the Men’s, Under 18, Under 23, Over 50 and Over 60 categories.
After reaching the final in the last two editions, the Men’s team will once again be aiming for gold. Led by Carmel Cilia, the squad includes Miguel Falzon, Johan Attard, Dejan Grech, Miguel Amato, Ryan Pisani and Gary Carr.
The Over 50 team, who are the current World Champions, will be managed by Pasquale Sciberras. The team includes Jeffrey Farrugia, Jason Mangion, Marco Bonello, Ray Caruana, Antoine Aquilina and Kevin Mercieca.

The Under 23 team, led by Noel Cassar, features Steve Muscat, Matthias Debono and Casdy Vella.

Vince Saliba will manage the Under 18 team, with Shazen Ciantar, Danzilee Ciantar and Ayken Gambin set to take part in their first international competition alongside Nick Muscat, who has become an important player in the category.

Manuel Mallia will be in charge of the Over 50 B team, which includes Paul Camilleri, Manuel Galea, Kenneth Pisani, Jesmond Falzon and Omar Caruana.

Malta will also compete in the Over 60 category, with Dominic Camilleri leading a team made up of Tonio Mifsud, Giovanni Calleja, Alfred Attard, Mark Debono and Roger Calleja.
