Positive results for Malta at European Pool Championships in Cyprus

Maltese teams continued their campaign at the European Pool Championships currently taking place in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, securing additional positive results across several categories.

The Malta men’s national team earned two more victories in the group stage, defeating Ireland 8-7 and Belgium 11-4. With two matches remaining before the end of the group phase, Malta are in a favourable position to qualify for the semi finals.

In the Over 50 category, the Maltese side registered four wins from six matches played. The Under 23 team recorded eight victories from eleven fixtures, leaving them in contention for a place in the semi finals.

The Under 18 team also added to Malta’s results with two identical 7-2 wins against Scotland A and Scotland B.

As the group stages approach their conclusion, the Maltese teams remain in contention for qualification to the semi final phase of the European Pool Championships in Ayia Napa.
