Bodø/Glimt earned a huge 3-1 win over Inter in Norway and will travel to the San Siro with a two-goal advantage in this Champions League play-off.
Inter started well and almost scored early, but a great block from Jostein Gundersen stopped Lautaro Martínez. After that, Bodø/Glimt grew into the match and took the lead in the 20th minute. A clever move ended with Kasper Høgh flicking the ball through to Sondre Brunstad Fet, who finished past Yann Sommer.
Inter reacted quickly and went close through Matteo Darmian, who hit the post. Nicolò Barella then helped Inter level the score on 30 minutes, with his cross causing problems before Pio Esposito turned and fired into the net.
After the break, Inter had more chances but could not take them. Martínez went close again, and Bodø/Glimt punished them on the hour mark when Jens Petter Hauge fired in at the near post after a pass from Høgh.
Just three minutes later, Bodø/Glimt struck again. Fet played a perfect ball through for Ole Didrik Blomberg, who squared it for Høgh to tap in and make it 3-1.
Inter struggled to respond and Bodø/Glimt defended strongly to finish off a famous European night. It was Inter’s first ever defeat against a Norwegian club.
