St Andrews FC Futsal and Swieqi United will go head-to-head in the final of the Maltese Cross Futsal Cup, following victories in their respective semi-final clashes.
St Andrews booked their place in the final with a commanding 8-1 win over Marsaskala Futsal, controlling the match from start to finish. Luis Henrique led the charge with a superb hat-trick, while Andre Ciancio added a brace. The scoreline was further boosted by own goals from Amir Ashtiyani, Jefferson Breno, and Jhon Anderson Castro, giving St Andrews a comfortable margin.

Despite the own goal, Amir Ashtiyani managed to pull one back for Marsaskala, scoring their only goal of the match and restoring some personal pride. The match was officiated by Danilo Francalanza and Matthias Buttigieg.
In the other semi-final, Swieqi United emerged victorious in a closely contested 4-2 win over Ħamrun SC Futsal. After taking a 2-1 lead into the half-time break, Swieqi continued to perform with discipline and consistency. Despite Ħamrun’s persistent pressure and narrow margin throughout, Swieqi held firm to seal their spot in the final.

Javier Alexander Sanchez scored twice for Swieqi, with Rodrigo Rocha and Luca Felice adding to the tally. For Ħamrun, Juan David Bautista Conde and Gia Nikvashvili were on target, keeping their side within reach, but ultimately it was not enough to turn the game in their favour. Referees for this match were Danilo Francalanza and Marco La Rosa.
The final between St Andrews FC Futsal and Swieqi United is scheduled to take place on Saturday at 6pm at the National School of Sports Pavilion in Pembroke. With both teams displaying impressive form, a thrilling encounter is expected as they vie for one of the top honours in Maltese futsal.
