In the opening match, University of Malta Futsal produced a commanding display, thrashing Żejtun 23-1. For many who follow Futsal this was a ridiculous result sending a wrong message about Malta’s level of the local Championship.
The emphatic win secured their second-place finish and gave them strong momentum heading into the playoffs. In the second encounter, Luxol St Andrews Futsal wrapped up their campaign with a 6-1 victory over GŻR Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s Futsal. As a result, Birżebbuġa were forced into a निर्णż playoff clash against Marsaskala Futsal Legends to determine the final standings.
In that decisive match, Marsaskala Futsal Legends mounted a remarkable comeback. Despite trailing 3-1 at halftime, they overturned the deficit to claim a 7-5 win, securing third place.
These outcomes set the stage for the playoff semi-finals. In Semi-Final 1, University of Malta Futsal will face Marsaskala Futsal Legends, with the first leg scheduled for Friday, 24 April 2026 at 18:30, and the return leg on Friday, 1 May 2026 at 19:15, both at the National Sports School. In Semi-Final 2, Luxol St Andrews Futsal will meet GŻR Birżebbuġa St. Peter’s Futsal, with matches set for Friday, 24 April 2026 at 20:45 and Friday, 1 May 2026 at 17:00, also at the same venue.
